Validus Construction was appointed by a private client in Yorkshire to construct a bespoke gym building from the ground up, working alongside Oak By Design, motive8 Limited, and HP Plumbing and Heating.
The scope was straightforward: a space built to be used every day, finished to a standard that would stand the test of time.
The project began with groundworks and site preparation, establishing a solid base ahead of the build. Oak By Design supplied and installed the bespoke oak frame that forms the backbone of the structure, giving the building its character and shaping the internal layout. Full glazing was installed throughout to maximise natural light and connect the interior with the surrounding landscape, and a slate roof was fitted to the same standard as the rest of the build, complete with guttering, for long-term durability.
With the shell complete, our team moved on to the internal fit-out. Slatted wall panelling with integrated LED lighting was installed throughout to create a clean, high-spec finish, and rubber flooring was laid to suit the demands of daily training use. motive8 Limited then fitted out the space with Technogym equipment, while HP Plumbing and Heating installed the climate control system, ensuring the gym stays comfortable to use year-round.
Delivering a project like this depends on close coordination between every trade involved. Validus worked directly with Oak By Design, motive8 Limited, and HP Plumbing and Heating throughout the build, and the result is a fully functional private gym that does exactly what it was built to do: a space finished properly, built to be used every day, and built to last.
